KARACHI: The jute industry is playing a vital role to promote Pakistan economy and FPCCI would lend full support to the industry to resolve issues, Senior Vice President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Abdul Rahim Janoo said on Tuesday.
During his meeting with members of jute association of Pakistan, Janoo appreciated the role of the industry and assured of support.
Malik Jahangir, Chairman Jute Association said FPCCI is the biggest platform for Pakistani businessmen and FPCCI should ask the government to release business friendly budget.
He informed that jute bags are used by rice industry, fruits and vegetable items industry, flour industry, sugar industry and many others. He said use of jute bags as packing material is increasing mainly due to its environment friendliness.
Foreign diplomats of Bangladesh, Indonesia and Iran, Vice Chairman and In-charge Sindh Region Ikram Rajput, Vice President Waseem Vohra and others attended the meeting.
