KARACHI: Pakistan defeated Bahrain 2-1 in the fifth Asian Beach Handball championship in Muscat on Tuesday.
This was the third victory for Pakistan in the event.
After winning the first set 16-14, Pakistan lost the second set 24-18 that sent the clash into penalty shootout where Pakistan prevailed over their rivals 7-6.
In other matches, Qatar beat Vietnam 2-0 and Iran defeated host Oman by 2-1 sets.
Pakistan will meet Oman on Wednesday (today). Qatar lead with six points. They are followed by Pakistan with four points.
