MNA Asad Umar appreciated the efforts of ‘Brand Pakistan Conference’ organisers in promoting the positive image of Pakistan all over the world.
He was addressing the concluding session of a two-day ‘Brand Pakistan Conference’ organised by the ‘Brand Pakistan’ in collaboration with the Jang Media Group.
MNA Asad Umar said “Our country is full of young talent and we only need to give young people the right direction. We have lots of high-achievers and award-winners, which shows Pakistanis are best in all fields.”
He said that the young people of Pakistan really want to work hard for their country. They are interested in taking part in politics and want to lead the country, but they just need good leaders and support.
Talking about the ‘Brand Pakistan’ movement, Asad Umar said it is good initiative to launch movement to create the soft image of Pakistan the world over.
“We have a number of quality brands and they should be introduced with international standard,” he added.
Earlier, Michael Foley, CEO of the Telenor Pakistan, lauded the holding of ‘Brand Pakistan Conference,’ and said Pakistan has all resources and talented youth.
Other speakers of the conference also appreciated the efforts of Brand Pakistan for creating a soft image of Pakistan.
On the occasion, he announced that Telenor would invest 700 million dollar in Pakistan.
Participants of the ‘Brand Pakistan Conference’ evinced keen interest in the stalls of gemstones set up by the G B The Jewel of Pakistan.
Chairman Channel-7 and Director Brand Pakistan Jawad Humayun said that the ‘Brand Pakistan Conference’ was successful. He said now they are going to start ‘Promote Soft Image of Pakistan’ campaign all over the country and try to bring government, private sector and academia at one platform to get better results for creating a good image of Pakistan.
The ‘Brand Pakistan Conference’ was spread over two days. Each day was divided into three focus sessions that deliberated, shared and inspired around success stories and leadership originating from within Pakistan. The conference strived to build momentum to launch the ‘Brand Pakistan’ movement with the co-ownership of all stakeholders from government, commercial, academic, cultural, media and other domains.
The galaxy of personalities who participated in the two-day event included Ahsan Iqbal, Sadruddin Hashwani, Masood Hashmi, Uxi Mufti, Shiraz Ullah Choudhry, Bharat Avalani, Imtiaz Rastgar, Ms. Aatiqa Lateef, Michael Foley, Jawad Humayun, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Mahmood Sham, Dr. Miftah Ismail, Naeem Zamindar, Ms. Farzana Yaqoob, Muhammad Atif Khan, Asad Umar, Sarmad Ali, Muhammad Malick and Haroon Rashid among others. The star-studded attendance by key figures from across different areas of influence marked the importance given to the ‘Brand Pakistan’ movement.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the importance of a common vision as Pakistani nation. He appreciated and recognised the timely relevance and situational aptness for the launch of the ‘Brand Pakistan’ movement.
The convener of the Brand Pakistan Conference 2015 and managing director of the Channel 7 Communications (private) Limited, Sayyed Ahmad Masud, said that the ‘Brand Pakistan’ builds the right narrative around local and global image of Pakistan. “Our hope is that the ‘Brand Pakistan’ movement will unify the Pakistani nation in a way so as to enable everyone, at personal and collective levels, to associate with, draw inspiration from and contribute their success to building the image of Pakistan, both locally and globally,” he added.
The conference concluded with the ‘Resolution Ceremony’ in which participants of the conference wrote their promises to carry on the ‘Brand Pakistan’ movement to the next level in their personal capacities. This, in the near future, will help in developing a strong and better image of Pakistan throughout the world.
‘Brand Pakistan’ is an initiative to bring back the pride in being a Pakistani by celebrating and promoting the amazing success stories and positive image of Pakistan, and to project it to the globe. ‘Brand Pakistan’ is a joint venture of Channel 7 and EOS Consultants.
