Turab Ali XI win K-Electric league

KARACHI: Captain Turab Ali XI crushed Ustad Gulsher XI 3-0 in the final league game to win the 3rd K-Electric Under-16 Lyari Football League here at People’s Sports Complex on Sunday.
Shakeel was declared the man of the match.
The winners were handed over a glittering trophy and a purse of Rs100,000; the runners-up went away with Rs75,000; and the bronze medallists Taj Mohammad XI received Rs50,000.
Speaking on the occasion, K-Electric CEO Tayyab Tareen said that their objective behind holding the event was to motivate the youth of Lyari and to involve them in healthy activities. “Over the last four years our football enthusiasts have transformed this tournament into one of the most celebrated football event of the city,” Tayyab said. As many as 288 players showcased their talent while representing 16 outfits in the league.
