PESHAWAR: The members of Ahle- Sunnat Wal Jamaat staged a rally here on Sunday to express support to Saudi Arabia over the Yemen issue.
Holding posters inscribed with slogans about defending the holy places in Saudi Arabia, the rally participants marched through the Khyber Bazaar and chanted slogans in support of Saudi Arabia.
They vowed to render any sacrifice for the protection of Harmain Sharifain, saying that upholding the sanctity and protection of the holy places was the religious obligation of every Muslim and the Pakistani nation would fulfill this responsibility at all costs.
The protesters reiterated the pledge to support and help Saudi Arabia in the protection of the holy land. They said the Pakistanis would not hesitate to render any sacrifice for safeguarding the territorial integrity of the brotherly Arab state and the holy places there.
The rally participants announced to support Saudi Arabia in the restoration of peace in Yemen. They called for unity among Muslims to foil conspiracies against Islam and the Ummah. Later, they dispersed peacefully, renewing the pledge to stand by the Saudi government and people in the prevailing situation.
