5 injured in Pakpattan incidents

PAKPATTAN: Five people were injured in separate incidents here on Friday.
In the first incident, nine accused including Akram entered the house of Muhammad Hanif at Chak Mari Hazara and allegedly injured Hanif, his wife, daughter and sister-in-law with sticks and clubs. In another incident, 10 accused including Abdul Sattar allegedly injured Muhammad Ramzan over some issue at Chak 55-SP. Police have registered separate cases.
OFFICERS ASKED TO SUBMIT WHEAT PURCHASE REPORT DAILY: Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection Team of Wheat member Sher Bahadur on Friday inspected the wheat procurement centres and directed the officers concerned to submit report of wheat purchase to the Punjab government on daily basis.
The member along with District Food Controller Ch Fayyaz Ahmad visited the purchase centres and asked the officers to provide wheat purchase data to the control rooms. Meanwhile, DCO Javed Akhtar while addressing a meeting said that all wheat would be purchased by the Punjab Food Department and the Passco in the district. He said that Rs 1,300 per maund wheat would be purchased and the amount would be given to the farmers. He said that the AC had been made focal person in the district.
DACOITIES: Three dacoity incidents were reported here on Friday.
Eight dacoits entered the house of Muhammad Aslam at Chak 86-D and looted gold ornaments and cash. Asif parked his bike outside a shop. When he returned, he found it missing. Two thieves stole cash of Khalid Hussain near Chak 23-KB.
CALL TO RELEASE WATER IN SMALL CANALS: Kisan Board leader Rana Abdul Rauf and others have demanded the Irrigation Department release water in all small canals.
While talking to newsmen here, they said that due to closure of water supply in small canals courses, crops and vegetables had been damaged badly and it would also cause financial loss to the farmers.
