SWABI: The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK Institute) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have decided to initiate joint research projects. Talking to reporters after participating as a chief guest in the startup fair for Induction 2015 at the incubator in management sciences faculty here on Friday, Farah Hamid Khan, provincial secretary for Science and Technology and Information Technology Department, said the KP wanted to finance research projects in the GIK Institute.
She lauded its contributions in imparting contemporary education to the students of the country in the field of engineering and management sciences. The negotiations had already been held between the officials and both the parties have shown great interest, she said. “We are very much on the track to enter in meaningful collaboration,” she said, adding that they were ready to finance projects in the institute.
