The Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (SZAB) Medical University signed an MoU here to carry out research in the field of health sciences.
The MoU was signed by SZABMU Vice Chancellor Professor Javed Akram and QAU Vice Chancellor Professor Javed Ashraf.
Talking to the media after having inked the agreement, Professor Akram said that with the signing of the MoU, both universities will collaborate in the field of health sciences which would help elevate medical research for the benefit of public at large. “Our priority in the first phase would be the pharmacy department of the university,” he stated.
“QAU and SZABMU will focus on sharing of resources in the field of clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice and hospital pharmacy,” said Professor Akram while sharing details of the first phase of research.
Professor Javed Ashraf maintained that QAU and SZABMU can together reach a new level in the research field of health sciences.
Meanwhile, Professor Akram also approved the soft launching of the university’s website. He said SZABMU would add new chapters in the field of information communication technology for development. He appreciated the office of the registrar for running the website.
