KARACHI: No Pakistani shooter managed to win a quota place for Rio Olympics as Ghulam Mustafa failed to qualify for the finals at ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol in Changwon, South Korea on Tuesday. Ghulam scored 286 (98, 97, 91) in the first stage on Monday and then hit 281 (96, 98, 87) in the second stage on Tuesday to get the total of 567 in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event. Earlier, Minhal Sohail, Zeeshan-ul-Farid and Nasir Yasin also failed to qualify for the finals. Minhal scored 408.9 (102.3, 102.5, 102.8, 101.3) in the qualification round of 10m air rifle event, while Nasir hit 605.7 (99.2, 102.0, 103.7, 100.4, 99.3, 101.1) in the qualification round of 50m rifle prone event. Zeeshan-ul-Farid scored 618 (101.7, 103.0, 103.1, 103.5, 102.4, 104.3) in the qualification round of 10m air rifle event. Four Pakistani shooters were sent by the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) to feature in the tournament.
