LAHORE: Scattered rain has increased humidity level in the city here on Tuesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Officials at Met office said seasonal low lay over North Balochistan with its trough extending southeastward. They said monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal had started to penetrate north-eastern parts of the country and warned these currents were likely to intensify from Thursday. A westerly wave was also expected to prevail over the upper parts of the country from Wednesday.
Met office predicted rain-thundershower with gusty winds was expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Islamabad while very hot and humid weather was expected elsewhere in the country.
