Five alleged activists of a banned outfit were among 21 suspects arrested during raids across the city by the Sindh Rangers on Sunday.
A spokesman for the paramilitary force said an intelligence driven surgical operation in the Jam Goth area had led to the arrests of five terrorists affiliated with a banned outfit.
He said explosives, SMGs and narcotics were recovered from the hideout as well and further investigations are underway.
Moreover, 16 criminals were apprehended in raids conducted in Jamali Goth, Gulshan-e-Rafi, 100 Quarters, New Karachi, Baldia Town, Rizvia and Orangi Town.
According to the spokesman, these suspects include Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants and local target killers and extortionists. A sizeable quantity of weapons was recovered and investigations were underway.
