Centre asked to transfer resources for KP-Fata merger

PESHAWAR: Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Retd) Dost Muhammad Khan has asked the federal government to expedite the transfer of resources to mainstream the tribal areas after the merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He was talking to the government officials, elite, lawyers, businessmen and people on the second day of Eidul Fitr at the Chief Minister’s House, said an official handout.
The chief minister said that tribespeople were devoted and sincere to the country. He said that all resources should be utilised to provide them facilities.
“The merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa brought along new challenges. To overcome these challenges, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa needs resources that should be given immediately to facilitate the merger,” he added.
