Man shot dead

TOBA TEK SINGH: A director of a private academy was shot dead over an old enmity on Eid day.

Atif Mazhar was heading to the city by his car from Chak Seowal, when accused Imran and his accomplices shot him dead. Reportedly, Atif was shot dead for a revenge of a police case. Accused Imran was allegedly wanted by police in different cases of heinous nature.

25 butchers fined: Gojra Assistant Commissioner Asif Ali Dogar inspected 45 shops of butchers on charges of selling mutton at Rs1,000 per kg instead of fixed price of Rs 675 per kg.

On the public complaints, the AC visited the shops of butchers at Gojra and found them selling mutton at Rs 1,000 per kg, and beef at Rs 400 to 500 per kg. The AC fined 27 butchers to the tune of Rs 400,000.
