Sayben-e-Bakkar, Tarar Queen emerge winners

LAHORE: Although the favourite pony in the first race had a perfect start to the day’s proceeding but then followed several upsets even in one of the main races, Ramadan Cup when Sayben-e-Bakkar surprised everyone while in the second prized race the Eid Cup, Tarar Queen got to the top.

To some extent, the Monday’s races at the Lahore Race Club were full of surprises, shocks and wonders.Fancy Boy was favourite to win the opening race of the day and it did not disappoint its followers but the second place was an upset with that place going to Mano Jutt while Gambler Boy expected to take the second place slipped to third position.

The second race was the Ramadan Cup and there was an upset by Sayben-e-Bakkar. This cup race also had upsets at the second and third places too when Queen Esmeralda and Neeli De Malika came second and third.

The third race saw Baa Waqar taking the first position as it was expected for an upset by carrying a tag of fluke. The five year old horse Power of Dream, was favourite became second and third place was secured by Stone Queen. The fourth race too saw a complete upset staged by Abdullah Choice at first place, Atlantic Prince at second position and Heads Will Turn at third slot. The second main race of the day was Eid Cup and that finished in favour of Tarar Queen. Favourite pony of the race Four Chaar Hai became second and Carry On Jutta was third. In the final race of the day, favourite Bajwa Choice, surprise Satpara and unexpected Blue Max were the winners of the first three positions respectively.
