LONDON: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have delayed their return to Pakistan owing to precarious condition of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Sources said the condition of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was very serious and doctors had decided not to remove her from life support machine. Sources said Nawaz Sharif, Hussain Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz held two hours long meeting with doctors. The doctors told them Kulsoom Nawaz’s condition was being monitored and no time frame could be given for improvement in her health condition. Doctors have advised Nawaz Sharif to spend more time with Kulsoom Nawaz. Sources said Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were to appear before the accountability court on June 19 but due to the advice of doctors they have delayed their return. Their return to the country is linked to health condition of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Sources said Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will not appear before the Accountability Court on June 19 and the lawyers of the two will file an application in the court for exemption. Sources said the medical report in respect of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz doctor’s letter will also be filed in the court along with the application for exemption.
“I and father called my mother several times but she does not give any reply. I wish my mother opens her eyes and talk to us. Her condition is very serious,” Maryam Nawaz has tweeted on website
