Two women among four killed as rivals clash in Torghar
MANSEHRA: Four persons, including two women, were killed and four others sustained injuries when two rival groups attacked each with daggers and knives in a mosque in Daba Madakhel area of Torghar district on Thursday.
“I am on way to scene where four people including two women are killed on a petty issue,” District Nazim Torghar Dilroz Khan told reporters.The sources said that Saeed Rehman and Mohammad Zubair had exchanged harsh words when the latter asked the former not to sit on rooftop of his house on Wednesday but locals intervened and the issue was settled amicably.
The rivals also clashed at the mosque during the Asr prayers on Thursday in which Said Rehman and Zubair were seriously injured and succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.The female members also rushed to mosque after hearing about the clash, the sources said, adding, two women including Rubina Bibi and wife of Said Ahmad Khan also came under attack and sustained serious wounds.
The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.Dilroz Khan told reporters that the injured including Taj Deen, Bukhmeen Khan, Roqib Khan and Amanullah were being treated at the hospital. He said that the police had reached the spot and started investigation.
