Innovators CC overcome Sahir CC in MA Shah Trophy

KARACHI: Innovators Cricket Club overcame Sahir Cricket Club by two wickets in their match of the 23rd Dr MA Shah Trophy here at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Tuesday night.

Asif Khan (50) and Shah Hussain (21*) enabled Innovators Cricket Club to achieve the 152-run target with nine balls to spare.Asif hammered four sixes and one four in his match-winning knock. Shah struck two fours and two sixes in his fiery five-ball 21 not out.

Pacer Ali Raza was the pick of the bowlers with 3-33. Imran Ali claimed 2-17. Ali Asghar captured 2-27.Earlier, Sahir Cricket Club were restricted to 151-6 in the allotted 20 overs.

Imran Ali scored a 47-ball 48 with one six and four fours. Owais Dogar chipped in with 27-ball 40, which featured two fours and four huge sixes. Mohammad Kashif made 23 off only 16 balls, smacking two sixes and one four. Shah Hussain got 3-37, while Asif Khan (2-18) also bowled well. Rehan Khan and Riaz Khan supervised the match.
