Dug-up road irks commuters in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: A road adjacent to Nowshera toll plaza has been troublesome for commuters since it was dug by the National Highway Authority (NHA) for construction work, said a local association on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference, Paracha Association President Bakhtiar Paracha said that a few days ago the NHA damaged the road with heavy machinery near the toll plaza on the Kabul River. He added that instead of repairing it, the NHA dug it up, causing inconvenience to the public.
Bakhtiar Paracha said that traffic remained jammed due to the bad condition of the road while people suffered from respiratory infections due to the dust. He said the bumpy road had caused accidents and asked the NHA official to repair it or else they would block the toll plaza.
