Without a schedule
On Friday (May 18), I received an SMS from KE which it was stated that our area will undergo loadshedding between 11am and 1pm and between 2pm and 3pm. The schedule was set for one-hour long loadshedding twice a day. However, the area experienced power outage from 2pm to 5pm. We already know that the performance of KE is not satisfactory. However, what is the point of sending a message when the schedule will not be followed by the authorities?
This is not the only issue that I have with KE. There are so many irregularities that need to be pointed out so that the power utility can work to rectify its mistakes. The company disrupt power supply for hours to carry out maintenance work. This work lasts from 9am to 6pm. The important point is that the work happens more than once a week. Residents are tired of the hollow promises made by KE and the government. Every year, we hear the government saying that it will put an end to loadshedding. Unfortunately, nothing changes. How long will we have to endure prolonged loadshedding?
