LAHORE
A REPRESENTATIVE delegation of overseas Pakistanis, led by President Pakistan Muslim League-N Middle East Ch. Noor-ul-Hassan Tanveer, called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and paid him tributes on setting up Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab.
Talking to the delegation, the chief minister said the service to the masses was the pivot of the PML-N politics. He said that overseas Pakistanis were great ambassadors of the country and playing a key role in strengthening national economy. He said that Overseas Pakistani Commission had started working in Punjab for immediate resolution to the problems of overseas Pakistanis. He said that Overseas Pakistanis Commission was totally an independent and autonomous institution. He said the committees had also been constituted in every district for resolving the problems of overseas Pakistanis. Shahbaz Sharif said the PML-N leadership was determined to steer the country out of crisis. He said that all-out resources were being utilised for making Pakistan a developed and prosperous country under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that solid economic policies of the government were increasing trade, industrial and social activities in the country. The chief minister said that sit-ins created hindrances in the journey to development however we were marching forward with a new spirit. He said that round the clock efforts were being made for achieving the goal of development and prosperity and coping with the challenges being faced by the country. He expressed the hope that our efforts would bring fruits to steer the country out of the quagmire of problems. President Pakistan Muslim League-N Middle East Ch. Noor-ul-Hassan Tanveer, speaking on the occasion, said that overseas Pakistanis were thankful to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on setting up the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab.
