24 criminals held
FAISALABAD: The police have arrested 24 criminals, including eight proclaimed offenders, from the city during past 24 hours. A police spokesman said here on Thursday that the police also recovered eight pistols, a carbine, a gun, five kilograms charas and 159 liters liquor from their possession. Police have registered separate cases.
12 ARRESTED FOR DECANTING: Police have arrested 12 shopkeepers on the charge of decanting from various parts of the district. A police spokesman said here on Thursday that the accused include Nadeem of Chungi No 8, Irfan of Chak 211-GB, Irfan of Shadab Morr, Abdul Waheed of Faizabad, Shahzad Hussain of Muneerabad, Shehbaz of Ashrafabad, Maqbool and his co-worker of Chak 214-RB, Tahir Raheem of Chak 275-JB, Irfan of Chak 66-JB, Shahid and Sarfraz of Millat Chowk. Police have registered separate cases against the accused.
