LAHORE: A man killed his sister for ‘honour’ in the Batapur police limits Wednesday.
Police have arrested the accused person along with weapon and registered a case against him. The victim has been identified as Ruqaia Bibi, 25, a resident of Rampura village. Police said the accused Ghulam Abbas had stopped her sister from talking to strangers on phone but she kept on doing it. On the day of incident, he shot her dead and was trying to hide the body when locals informed the police. Police reached the crime scene and arrested him.
hit to death: Three persons crushed to death by vehicles in the provincial metropolis Wednesday. In Shahdara Town, a 62-year-old man was hit to death by a car. The victim has been identified as Abdul Rasheed. A 45-year-old woman was crushed to death by a dumper. Police have taken helper of the dumper into custody. The victim has been identified as Nasira Kausar, wife of Nasir, a resident of Township. Yet in another incident, a 15-year-old girl was hit to death by a speeding car from behind when she was trying to cross a road while the driver escaped.
