Pakistan enter Asian Div III Rugby final
LAHORE: Pakistan beat Kyrgyzstan 82-0 in the semifinal of Asian Div III Rugby Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan and qualified for the final which will be played on May 19.
According to information available here the host Kazakhstan beat Magnolia by 55-6 in the second semifinal and will take on Pakistan in the final.From the very start Pakistani players dominated the game. By the end of first half Pakistan were leading 45-0.
In the 2nd half Pakistan players came more strongly and played some good game. For Pakistan side Ali Khan and Muhammad Shoaib Akbar both scored 3 tries each. Saad Arif and Adnan Saeed scores 2 tries each. Anjum Sajjad, Nasir Mehmood, Muhammad Haroon and Muhammad Waqas scored one try each. Opponents did not score a single try.
Pakistan team head coach Shakeel Ahmed Malik said although they were lacking international exposure yet the boys worked hard and came back strongly. He added Kazakhstan are strong team but he hoped boys will play make all efforts for a positive result.
