SHC again rejects Sharjeel Memon's bail plea

KARACHI: Sindh High Court has once again rejected bail plea of PPP leader and former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon. He had filed petition seeking bail on medical grounds. On October 12, 2017, the SHC had rejected bail plea of Sharjeel Memon and 12 other accused in alleged corruption case of Rs5.75 billion pertaining to Sindh information department. NAB had arrested him following rejection of his bail plea. Accountability court Karachi had indicted Sharjeel Memon and other accused on February 15 in corruption reference. All the accused named in NAB reference had pleaded not guilty.
