Lawyers observe strike against Karachi carnage
BUREWALA: The Burewala Bar Association on Saturday observed the black day to condemn the Karachi carnage on May 12, 2007.
The lawyers hoisted a black flag at their office and boycotted the courts to register their protest. The lawyers, including bar president Iftikhar Ahmad and general secretary Rana M Saleem, strongly condemned the tragic incident of May 12 in which several innocent citizens were killed in Karachi.
TOBA TEK SINGH: Lawyers observed a complete strike and boycotted the courts proceedings to condemn the Karachi bloodshed here on Saturday. In this connection, the District Bar Association held general body meeting was held in which senior lawyers recalled the incident in their speeches and termed the May 12 carnage as the black day. —Correspondents
