BHAKKAR: DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo Thursday said enforcement of traffic rules is essential to decrease road accidents.
Presiding over an advisory meeting of traffic regulations, the DCO said non-compliance of traffic rules is the prime reason of road accidents.
DPO Agha Muhammad Yusuf was also present.
The DCO said traffic rules awareness campaign has been lodged in the district to sensitise traffic rules to the people and District Emergency Officer of Rescue 1122 has been posted as Focal Person of the drive.
He said highways authorities have been directed to install sign-boards on roads for speed limit at suitable places and speed will also be monitored, and a strict action will be taken against violators.
