Plan to invite students to witness Punjab Boxing C’ship
LAHORE: Director Sports Anees Sheikh said Sports Board Punjab (SBP) has planned to invite a large number of male and female students from various schools and colleges to witness the upcoming Inter-Division Punjab Open Boxing Championship and this measure will definitely help a lot in promoting the game of boxing among young generation; he said this while presiding over an important meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
The meeting was convened to review the arrangements of Inter-Division Punjab Open Boxing Championship scheduled to be held at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall from May 12 to 15, 2018. The championship will be held under the slogan of ‘Kaun banay ga Punjab ka boxing champion’.
Addressing the meeting, Anees Sheikh said the young male and female students will get great inspiration after watching thrilling bouts in this boxing championship. “Punjab has great talent in every game and Sports Board Punjab under the leadership of Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan is providing suitable platform to all talented players to express their potential,” he added.
