Murderer executed in New Central Jail Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Ghulam Yasin, a murder convict, was executed in the New Central Jail here on Wednesday morning.
Ghulam Yasin of Basti Allah Rakha was convicted in the murder of a woman by the Bahawalpur district and sessions judge in 2004. After his execution, his body was handed over to his legal heirs for burial.
PHD THESIS: Muhammad Sohail, a PhD scholar of the Department of Pharmacy, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, will defend his PhD thesis at the Department of Pharmacy, Khawaja Farid Campus, at 10:30am on March 28.
Muhammad Sohail completed his research project under the supervision of Prof Dr Mehmood Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, IUB, and the topic of his thesis is ‘Development of cross linked polymeric matrics and evaluation of their affects on in-vitro drug release and in-vivo absorption’. Prof Dr Muhammad Jamshed, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Central Punjab, Lahore, and Prof Dr Nazar Muhammad Ranjah, Faculty of Pharmacy, BZU Multan, will be the external examiners.
