Stuck in traffic

Last week, I got stuck on the road leading from the Hassan Square bridge to National Stadium. The reason behind the traffic jam was a car that was parked right in the middle of the road. This disturbed the otherwise smooth flow of traffic. As usual, the traffic police were not present on the spot.The road is notorious for traffic jams, especially in the evening. Every other day, some vehicle is broken down right in the middle of the road. The traffic authorities should tow all vehicles that are parked wrongly to ensure that traffic flow is not disturbed.

This is to draw the attention of the authorities to the problems caused by traffic jams in Karachi. Traffic gridlocks are one of the main reasons for fuel wastages. It is deplorable that the traffic authorities have failed to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

In my opinion, roadside stalls one of the main factors responsible for frequent traffic jams. The sufficiently wide roads are narrowed because of stalls and parked vehicles. The authorities need to take action to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
