LAHORE: Munnu Bhai has done such work for social welfare through journalism, dramas and columns that he will always be remembered. Death is a universal truth, no one can deny it. But Munnu Bhai has left his vision and mission with us and it is our duty to continue them.

These views were presented by the speakers at a seminar organised by Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman Memorial Society (MKRMS) and Muslim Hands International titled “Munnu Bhai – Ik Ehad”.

The seminar was presided over by Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Amin-ul-Hasnat Shah. Founder and Chairman Muslim Hands International UK Sahabzada Syed Lakht-e-Husnain delivered a welcome address. Muhammad Kashif, son of late Munnu Bhai, was the Chief Guest of the seminar.

Wasif Nagi (Pride of performance, Senior Editor Health, Education and Current affairs and Chairman MKRMS) was the host of the seminar. Addressing the seminar Pir Amin-ul-Hasnat said, “Nations are built through manpower and leadership. If people will not acknowledge their service and will forget them then it is not a good example which we are setting for our next generations. Munnu Bhai is not with us but we cannot forget his struggle and service to the society. His last words were “Please take care of my disable and ill children”. He was an honest man towards his mission”.

Sahabzada Syed Lakht-e-Husnain said, “A single column of Munnu Bhai titled “Bhaiya Meray Ansu Saaf Karo” changed my life and I started working for the welfare of the people. We started Muslim Hands in 1993 with an office in a single room. And today we are working in more than 50 countries. We provide all the facilities in those areas where natural disaster take place. Munnu Bhai was not a wealthy man but he took a lot of prayers and respect from this world.”

Wasif Nagi said, “Muneer Ahmad Qureshi was turned into Munnu Bhai by Ahmad Naseem Qasmi. I cannot believe that he is no longer with us. Death is a universal truth but his mission will never end. He will live forever in the eyes and hopes of his children.” He congratulated Muslim Hands and appreciated their work for the welfare of mankind.

Muhammad Kashif said, “I am very thankful to all the guests who are here for my father. MKRMS and Muslim Hands have organised a great seminar. I feel happy and satisfied when I see such big names admiring my father’s effort. We are very proud of him.

Khwaja Salman Rafique said I know Wasif Nagi for a very long time and I have always learned from him and his seminars. Munnu Bhai was a loving and caring person. I know that he is gone but his vision will guide us to do the right things. I feel very satisfied to see these organisations who are working for the betterment of people. Sundus Foundation and Muslim Hands are following the teachings of Munnu Bhai. I am always there to help them in any matter.

Addressing the seminar Sohail Warraich said,” I have worked and travelled with Munnu Bhai. I haven’t seen such other man in my life. Serving the humanity was his obligation. I will always remember him”.

Orya Maqbool Jan said that we always judge people according to our perception. I respected Munnu Bhai more than any religious preacher because he always talked about love and harmony. He used to see good in everyone. I feel good to see that organisations like Muslim Hands still have faith in serving the humanity.

Dr Mujahid Kamran said Munnu Bhai was the only person with whom no one has any issue as his quality to talk with everyone with love and smile made him unique. He was not trapped in the vicious circle of pride or ego. When I first met him he was smiling and when I met him in his last days he was still smiling and I will remember him as a smiling person.

IA Rehman said Muslim Hands are changing the image of all the Muslims in the world. They are showing that Muslims are peace-loving and helpful. Munnu Bhai was the person who healed the wounds of hatred and anger with love and peace. His every single action depicted humanity.
