‘The First Breeze’ on display at Ejaz Art Galleries
The creations of brilliant young artists in the first-ever two weeks long Art Residency of the Punjab University, consisting of 13 artists, titled 'The First Breeze', a lifelong experience in the serene and intoxicating natural environment in a village near Lahore called ‘Karbath’, were inaugurated at the Ejaz Art Galleries on Wednesday.
This unique show was curated by Sumera Jawad and Nadeem Alam of Punjab University’s College of Art & Design. The display included installations, paintings, sculptures, and other genre of art pieces.
The brilliant young artists who participated in this memorable display of their extraordinary skills included four male and nine female artists. The girl artists included Istrahat Waheed Bhatti, Sumera Jawad, Iqra Ayaz, Dur-e-Nayab, Amina Cheema, Baneen Nazer, Umm-e-Laila, Bushra Khalid and Sudas Rafi. The male artists, whose work has been put up for the art lovers included Fawad Kashif, Nasir, Haroon and Asad Ali Abid. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mian Yousaf Salahuddin. The show will continue for a week.
