Army check-post handed over to police in Upper Dir

DIR: The control of the army checkpost in Akhagram village in Upper Dir was handed over to police on Tuesday and policemen were deployed there.
Akhagram is the gateway to Upper Dir where the army checkpost was established some nine years back.
The army authorities handed over the checkpost to the police at a function.
Captain Hamza of the Pak Army and Station House Officer Warai Mazoom Khan and local elders attended the function.
The army authorities had decided to transfer powers to civil administration in Malakand division a month ago.
