KARACHI: President Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) Mohammed Saleem Khan on Tuesday said that the recently held elections of the federation were unconstitutional, aiming at dividing the federation.
He said that such fake elections would not be tolerated, in an issued statement.
Saleem Khan further added that the Secretary General of the Federation Haider Lehri announced the holding of elections without convening a meeting of the executive committee. Besides, all steps taken by MR Lehri for fixing of date, place and appointment of the chief election commissioner and other related matters were taken without the President’s permission.
Saleem Khan said that he had postponed the elections slated for March 21 at Lahore by using his constitutional authority. However, Haider Lehri called the annual general body council meeting and conducted the elections to elect himself as the secretary general for the third time against the national sports policy.
