LAHORE : The oath taking ceremony of 345 rescuers, trained under Patient Transfer Service, was held at the Emergency Services Academy here on Saturday.
Since Jan 2017, some 2,57,668 patients have been shifted from low to specialised healthcare facilities in Punjab under this programme.
Punjab Emergency Service Founding Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) was the chief guest of the ceremony.
The rescuers have been imparted training of emergency driving, first aid, firefighting and search & rescue skills.
The computer telephone wireless operators have also been trained for emergency call handling and calls recording software. Rescue Deputy Director (HR) Dr Fawad Shahzad Mirza, Rescue Academy Registrar Dr Muhammad Farhan Khalid, Deputy Director (Fire & Rescue) Dr Muhammad Azam, Controller Examination Roqaiya Bano Javed, Adjutant Academy Dr Ali Imam Syed, faculty and a large number of rescuers attended the ceremony.
