Same uniform for traffic police in Punjab
LAHORE: Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Arif Nawaz Khan has directed the officials of traffic warden service to wear new blue uniform in the remaining 31 districts of Punjab too from April 30, 2018 because the traffic warden service has been implemented across Punjab.
Now there will be same uniform of traffic police. In order to make better traffic management, educated people from big cities of Punjab have been recruited as traffic assistants and further traffic assistants would also be recruited. Special seats for women have also been allocated for the posts.
The Punjab Traffic DIG has started the process of appointment of traffic wardens from five big cities for the remaining districts of Punjab to improve the traffic system. Moreover, new transport and modern equipment are being given to traffic police. This system of traffic was already implemented in five big cities of Punjab but now it has been extended to all the districts of Punjab.
training: Training and Recruitment Additional IG Tariq Masood Yasin has said the process of upgradation of professional training of police force keeping in view practical and modern policing measures is being executed speedily.
He expressed these views while addressing a session of officers of training development unit. Tariq Masood Yasin directed the officers that a special attention should be paid to under-training personnel for their character building, personality grooming, ability of efficient communication and anti-riot training.
The chief law instructors, psychologists, PITB officials and delegation of Safe Cities Authority presented their recommendations.The final training syllabus was sanctioned after discussion over the recommendations.
visit: In a tour arranged by Senior Management Wing of the National Institute of Management, Islamabad, a delegation of 13 senior officers visited Punjab Police Integrated Command Control and Communication centre (PPIC3) to get first-hand insight of the faculty.
The delegation comprised the officers from Foreign Service of Pakistan, Police Service of Pakistan, Pakistan Audit & Accounts Service, Commerce and Trade Group, Provincial Services and Secretariat Group.
Dolphin Squad: The SP Dolphin has said that Dolphin Squad responded to 7,898 calls of Rescue 15 during the last three months. While reviewing the performance of Dolphin Squad in last three months here on Thursday, he said that the Dolphin Squad checked 346,142 cars, 415,690 motorcycles and 36,000 suspects through android system and arrested 398 criminals during patrolling and snap checking.
