Opp mulls names for Punjab caretaker CM
LAHORE: Opposition parties met Wednesday for considering names for Punjab caretaker chief minister.
The meeting chaired by opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed was attended by PML-Q parliamentary leader Sardar Waqas Mokal, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Dr Waseem Akhtar whereas the PPP was represented by Faiza Malik. Names of Tariq Khosa, Shahid Kardar, Khizar Hayat Gondal, Justice Malik Allah Nawaz (retd) came under consideration during the meeting. Meanwhile, addressing a press conference at the PTI Chairman Secretariat, senator Ch Sarwar said there was no room for any corrupt politician and no culprit would be allowed to escape punishment in the name of medical treatment. He said PTI’s public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan on April 29 would be historic, adding the party doesn’t need to go for alliance with any party as people themselves were joining it.
