MANSEHRA: Awami National Party (ANP) provincial vice-president and a former provincial minister Namroz Khan passed away in Torghar on Sunday.
It was learnt that he was awarding certificates at a seminary in Torghar when he suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
His funeral prayers would be offered in Dagar Beerbat village on the outskirts of Oghi at 3pm today.
According to the party sources, ANP provincial president and former chief minister Ameer Haider Hoti is expected to attend the funeral.
Late Namroz Khan was a banker by profession and had joined the ANP after retirement.
He was elected to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in the 2008 general election from the lone provincial assembly constituency of the Torghar district.
