ISLAMABAD: Left-arm spinner Haris Khan (5-17) and pace bowler Zaman Khan (3-33) ran through the Australian Under-16s line-up to earn a seven-wicket win for Pakistan Under-16s in the third one-dayer at the Junction Oval in Melbourne on Saturday.
Asked to bat first, Australia were bowled out for 121 in 40 overs. Then Rizwan Syed (46 not out) and Mubashir Nawaz (42 not out) added 74 runs for the unbeaten fourth wicket stand as Pakistan reached home in the 27th over.
Rizwan struck eight fours in his 76-ball knock while Mubashir smashed six fours in his 26-ball innings.
Earlier, Australia at one point were reeling at 70-9 when T Sangha (34) and Simpson (16) added 51 runs for the last wicket.
Pakistan Under-16s lost the first two matches before Saturday’s win.
