Youth kills sister for ‘honour’

GUJRANWALA: A youth allegedly gunned down his sister for ‘honour’ at Ladhewala Warraich on Friday.

Saima of Mado Khalil wanted to contract marriage with Ansar, which infuriated her brother accused Umar. On the day of the incident, the accused shot her dead. Ladhewala Warraich police have started investigation.

309 PROPERTIES SEALED: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 309 properties for non-payment of pending dues during a crackdown here. ETO Rana Zulfiqar told here on Friday that the owners of these properties were not paying dues for the last many years.

He told that warning notices had been issued to them several times but still they did not pay their property tax dues. He said that fresh warning notices had also been issued to the owners of other properties for early payment of their dues.
