Faheem vows to do his best against England, Ireland
LAHORE: Pakistan’s star all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has said he is focused on the series against England and Ireland.
“We are confident that we can beat England. We are leaving early for England. We have a practice match there and I hope we will adjust to the conditions as quickly as possible,” he said while talking to reporters at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Faheem, who has been included in the Test squad for the first time, said it was a dream of every cricketer to play Tests for his country. “I will make by best efforts to prove my selection right,” he added.
Speaking about his comparison with Chris Woakes, he said, “Woakes is playing for his country and I am playing for mine. He is performing well for England. I will try to perform even better.”Pakistan team will leave for England on Monday. It will play two Tests against England and one against Ireland.
