PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar (UoP) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CYKIQ to provide a short distance bicycle commute for students, teachers and residents of the university.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Abid and Hamza Afridi, the CEO of the bicycle sharing service CYKIQ, signed the MoU.
The university will be the second in the country after NUST Islamabad, to provide this bicycle renting facility to its inhabitants. The project is aimed to have a greener and pollution-free campus.
The project will kick start with the provision of 20 bicycles to the university and will reach the tally of 150 at the end of the year.
