Shahbaz, Nisar meet third time in few days, discuss party matters
ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan met here at the Punjab House for the third time in the last few days and discussed party matters and overall political situation in the country.
The deteriorated relations between party Quaid and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also figured prominently, but the meeting which continued for about two hours failed to break the ice.
The distances between the Nawaz Sharif and Chaudhry Nisar started increasing following July 28 Supreme Court decision disqualifying the former as prime minister after the former veteran politician time and again advised Sharif to refrain from unleashing criticism on judiciary and opting for confrontation with institutions.
Chaudhry Nisar was also not invited to PML-N Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting in February and reportedly it was done on the directives of the party Quaid Nawaz Sharif. On the other hand, Chaudhry Nisar has also been speaking openly on party affair, and he also categorically refused to work under Maryam Nawaz .
