PESHAWAR: A training session for the staff of two Railways stations of Peshawar division was organised on Monday to help them facilitate the passengers.
The training is part of the Pakistan Railways initiative to improve image of the Pakistan Railways and attract more and more people to use the railways for travel.
The station masters and commercial staff of Peshawar and Nowshera Railways stations were imparted the training and guidance.Divisional Traffic Officer (DTO) Engr Anwar Sadaat Marwat was the chief guest.
He said the passengers travelling through trains expected good behavior and due respect from its staff. The official said that dealing passengers nicely improved image of a public service provider and attract more customers, which means more business and profit.
He said the station masters and commercial staff directly deal with passengers and they could
play an important role in improving the image of the Railways. The official said the passengers were an asset to the Railways and should be provided improved services and taken good care of.
