Wah enter veterans cricket semis

LAHORE: Wah Powers scored thumping 120-run win over Sialkot Seniors and breezed into regional semifinals of the National Veterans Cricket Cup on Monday at Gujrat’s Zahoor Elahi stadium.

The winning side batted first received strong help from half century makers Muhammad Naseer (75) and Rashid Latif (69) and scored 264 for 9 in allotted 30 overs bowled out opponents at 144. Their other notable scorers were Asif Naeem(40),Altaf Hussain (25) and Lhurram Shahzad (23). Sialkot Seniors bowling Muhammad Salman 2/32, Muhammad Azam 2/35 and Qalib Shah 2/47 Wickets. In reply Sialkot were dismissed at a low total in 24.2 overs. Fazal Jilani 31, Ejaz Ahmad 31, Basit Saeed 21 and Muhammad Salman 18 runs were their main run-getters. For Wah Power Yousaf Khan 3/9 and Kashif Imran 3/37 were the main wreckers.

Judo team to leave for Nepal on 19th

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan judo team will leave for Nepal on April 19 to take part in the South Asian Judo Championship, to be held in Kathmandu from April 20 to 24. According to the Vice President of Pakistan Judo Federation, a training camp of national men and women players is currently in progress at Sports Complex Islamabad.
