Show-cause notice
The Sindh High Court issued a show-cause notice to the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of District South for not complying with the court directives in a missing woman case.
The petitioner, Abdul Hameed, submitted that his daughter, Asma, went missing on April 22, 2016, and her whereabouts were unknown.
He alleged that she was working at the house of Asfand in the DHA area and expressed suspicion on the family members where she was working.
During the previous hearing, the court had directed the SSP to produce the girl before it; however, the court order was not complied with. The court issued a show-cause notice to the police officer to explain why he failed to comply with its order at the next hearing.
