Kandhkot, Kashmore Police stations surrounded by water
SUKKUR: The Inspector General Police, Sindh, AD Khawaja, here inaugurated the Women Protection Cell in the office of the DIG Police, Sukkur.
While talking to the media the other day, Khawaja said the police have managed to restore peace in Karachi and other cities of Sindh. He said there is water around the many police stations of Kandhkot and Kashmore, making them inaccessible to both the police and the general public.
The IG said we are making efforts to remove the water from those areas with the help of the government. Khawaja said he has drawn the attention of the Sindh government over such issues and areas where physical infrastructure is required to ensure police presence to fight crimes.
Khawaja said the social media has emerged as an effective tool in keeping the people aware about issues. He said several complaints get timely attention of the executive authorities as well as the parliament due to this platform.
Speaking about the extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah, the IGP said Rao Anwar has been arrested and investigations are being conducted and soon the trials would begin.
