SWABI: Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president Ameer Haidar Hoti said on Thursday that if the party comes to power, the “corrupt leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would face a true accountability.”

He was addressing a gathering at Government High School playground.

The ANP leader said that it was sufficient to prove the failure of the PTI leaders that ministers and lawmakers blamed each other for indulging in corruption.

“The PTI leaders had claimed to eradicate corruption. Where is the so-called Ehtesab Commission,” he questioned.

Haider Hoti said the Pakhtuns should back ANP for the protection of their rights. “If we come to power, there would be a university in every district,” he pledged.

The ANP leader went on to add that the ANP would get an overwhelming majority in the upcoming general election and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had utterly failed to deliver according to the pledges made with people in the 2013 election.

Pakhtuns had given tremendous sacrifices for the country’s defence and lost their relatives and businesses since the eruption of Afghan war with the occupation of Afghanistan by former Soviet Union, he said.

Ameer Rehman, the district president and other leaders of the party, said that the future belongs to them.
