LAHORE: Chief Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday said the PML-N government was bringing a genuine revolution for the people and added that special attention had been paid to the less-developed areas like southern Punjab under the strategy of ensuring composite development.
He was talking to lawmakers from southern Punjab, including Federal Minister for Communications Senator Hafiz Abdul Karim, MNA Sahibzada Faiz-ul-Hassan, MNA Sardar Amjad Khosa, Sultan Mehmood Hanjra, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Dreshak, Sajid Mehdi from Vehari, Punjab Minister for Zakat Naghma Lang, Deputy Speaker Sher Ali Gorchani, MPA Sardar Atif Hussain Khan Mazari and others.
The chief minister southern Punjab had moved on the road to genuine development and added that people were well aware of the genuine leadership working on their prosperity.
He said the credit of taking practical steps went to the PML-N with respect to restoration of defunct province of Bahawalpur and southern Punjab; however, some political elements were trying to emotionally exploit the people in the name of province.
On the occasions, Shahbaz mentioned the improvements in health infrastructure, extension in road network and other development projects being executed in the region.
The parliamentarians praised Shahbaz for his leadership, policies and performance. The PML-N leadership had diligently served the people and southern Punjab was developing in every sector of life including health and education, agriculture and transportation, they added.
The PML-N would achieve mammoth success in the 2018 elections on the basis of public service, they said.
Separately, the chief minister, in a message, condemned terrorism and naked barbarism of Indian armed forces in Occupied Kashmir.
