The Sports Week concluded here at The City School with a thrilling football match between two teams of Class 9 from the senior section, says a press release.
The ground was exquisitely decorated with red, white and black flags and balloons. Colorful display boards with catchy slogans gave the ground a festive look. The famous cricketer, Umer Amin, was the chief guest on the occasion. The Regional Sports Coordinator, Shajjar Abbas, also witnessed the event.
The day began with the recitation from the the holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and The City School song. All the teams who participated in football and badminton competitions during the sports week lined up in the ground. The girls of class 6 and 7 presented aerobics followed by the Martial Arts display that mesmerised the audience with the amazing feat of agility, prowess and coordination. The main event of the day was the football match that earned huge applause from the audience.
In the end, the chief guest distributed trophies, medals and certificates among the players. Mrs. Farzana Khurshid, Headmistress of the Senior Section, thanked the guests and congratulated the players for their brilliant performances. Mrs. Mehwash Ibrar, Principal of the Campus, presented the City School shield to the chief guest as a token of thanks and gratitude.
