Cloudy weather forecast

LAHORE: Cloudy weather was observed in the provincial capital on Tuesday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met Officials said a westerly wave was still affecting upper and central parts of the country and was likely to persist till Wednesday. They predicted that rain-thundershower with gusty winds was expected at scattered places in northeast Punjab; incluidng Rawalpindi, Lahore and Gujranwala divisions; Islamabad, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa; incluidng Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan and Kohat divisions; FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and at isolated places in Bannu, D.I.Khan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Zhob and Kalat divisions.

Rainfall was recorded in different cities; including Risalpur, (44mm), Peshawar (AP 42, city 40), Parachinar (21), Balakot, Pattan (19), Malamjabba (14), Dir (9), Cherat (8), Drosh, Kalam, Lower Dir, Saidu Sharif (5), Mirkhani (3), Kohat (1), Garidupatta (19), Muzaffarabad (13), Rawalakot (2), Kamra (18), Sialkot (Cantt 6, AP 2), Islamabad (Saidpur 5, Golra 2), Khanpur (2), Bahawalpur, Murree, Rawalpindi (1), Larkana (9), Moenjodaro (5), Dadu (4), Rohri (2), Astore (8), Chillas, Gupis (4), Hunza, Bagrote (2), Bunji (1), Ziarat (7), Barkhan (6) and Quetta (1mm).

Tuesday’s highest temperature was recorded at Shaheed Benazirabad where the mercury reached 46°C. In Lahore, maximum temprature was 31°C and minimum 22°C. Humidity level was 46 percent.
